marine lifeAbout BSAC 434
BSAC 434 is an affiliated member of the British Sub-Aqua Club. We are very much an active club, a reflection of the types of members that join. The club membership is between 80 and 110 at any one time – as members move away from the area due to changing jobs etc, and new members join either as experienced divers already, or as people wishing to learn to dive.

The membership is very varied. Although we train quite a few new divers, the aim is to train and keep! Most who train with BSAC434 stay with the club over the years and develop – this helps us to grow as a club in both numbers and experience. We have a very diverse range of members from different professions and with an equally varied range of interests.

In line with recommendadtions from the BSAC, any instructors involved with under 18s or vulnerable people will have been CRB checked.

We have a whole raft of qualifications in the Club from Ocean/Club and Sport Diver to Advanced and National qualifications, with Nitrox becoming more popular. Trimix and Rebreather diving also takes place.
