Equipment
Hire For use of the Club equipment during
training, you will be asked for a deposit of £50, plus another £75
as a charge for the hire of the equipment for each course. This equipment can be
used for the training in the pool, and for your first Open Water
club dives.
The
deposit of £50 will be refunded provided that all the equipment
is returned in the same condition as received. You are responsible
for ensuring that the equipment is not stolen or damaged.
The club will provide:
an air cylinder,
regulators,
a buoyancy control device
(stab jacket)
a weight belt and lead.
Do I need any
other equipment?
All you initially need to buy is a mask, fins and a snorkel.
Later, you will need to hire a wet/semi-dry suit or drysuit
for the open water dives. You may also need to purchase gloves,
boots and extra lead.
