She is all knowing and powerful… and stops us
from doing silly things while diving.
Training Officers Dave
& Felicity Townsend
Masters of diving practices and training gurus. They co-ordinate
with instructors to help with our extensive training programs.
Club Treasurer
Jean Edwards
Responsible for keeping us in the black, signing lots of cheques
and holding up the occasional bank.
Records Officer
Jon Payne
Frequently seen demanding money with menaces from the membership if club dues
are not paid on time.
Equipment Officer
John Francis
Usually a very strong fellow… Capable of lifting two
twin sets in one hand. Keeps the kit in service and doles
it out to new diving students.
Secretary
Rachel Burton
Writes lots of committee minutes and organises the AGM prizes… very
popular person.
Publicity
Officer
Gill Vine
Ensures the club activities are broadcast far and wide (including Mouthpiece
magazine). Ensures BSAC434 and diving in general are continually talked
about.
Projects Officer Raj
Bhattnager
Has boundless energy and keeps us regularly updated with
the diving programmes and special diving related projects.
Social Secretary
Michael Moonesinghe
Has even more energy than the Projects Officer and keeps us
all very happy by organising many social events. These include
the infamous Ice Divers Ball and Halloween Party. They usually
incorporate lots of alcoholic beverage… as long as we
are not diving the next day!
